Who is responsible for your data
The data controller for this website is the owner of Costa del Sol Solar. A Spanish limited company (S.L.) is being registered to operate the website; its company name, tax identification number (NIF) and registered address will be published here and in the legal notice once registration is complete. You can contact the controller at info@costadelsolsolar.com.
Information collected through the forms
The enquiry forms collect your name, email address and message, and, if you choose to give them, your phone number, town and the service you are interested in. Please do not send passwords, bank details, identity documents or other sensitive information.
The system size estimator works in your browser. The figures you enter are not sent to this website or stored unless you send them with the enquiry form.
Why your data is used and the legal basis
Your details are used to reply to your enquiry and to arrange a survey or quotation if you ask for one. The legal basis is the steps you ask us to take before a possible contract (Article 6(1)(b) of the General Data Protection Regulation) and our legitimate interest in answering enquiries sent to us (Article 6(1)(f)). Your details are not used for unrelated marketing.
Who receives your enquiry
Your enquiry is shared with Solar in Spain (Solmate Solar S.L.), Pedreguer (Alicante), which carries out surveys, quotations and installations for Costa del Sol Solar. Solar in Spain uses the information to assess your requirements, contact you and prepare a quotation. Only the details relevant to your enquiry are shared, and they are not passed to anyone else. From that point, Solar in Spain is also responsible for how it uses your information, under its own privacy policy.
How the form is delivered
When you send a form, the website's own server script emails your details to Costa del Sol Solar. No external form service is used. The email is handled by the website's hosting and email providers, which act as service providers to Costa del Sol Solar.
How long data is kept
Enquiry details are kept for up to 12 months after the last contact with you, then deleted, unless a longer period is required by law or to deal with a claim.
Cookies and analytics
This website does not use advertising or analytics cookies. It uses only the technical storage needed to load and protect the site. If analytics, call tracking or advertising cookies are added, this policy will be updated and consent controls added beforehand.
If you click a phone link, a short technical record is emailed to Costa del Sol Solar showing the page, the page you arrived from, the time and your browser type, so that phone enquiries can be followed up. It does not include your phone number. Your IP address is used only briefly, in scrambled (hashed) form, to avoid duplicate records. These records are kept for no longer than enquiry records.
Your rights
You can ask for access to your personal data, and for its correction or deletion. You can also ask for processing to be restricted, object to processing and ask for your data in a portable format. To make a request, email info@costadelsolsolar.com. You will receive a reply within one month.
If you are not satisfied with the response, you can complain to the Spanish Data Protection Agency (Agencia Española de Protección de Datos) at aepd.es.
