How do I know if my inverter has failed?
Warning lights or an error code on the inverter, a blank display, monitoring that shows zero production on a sunny day, or bills that have crept up. Inverters usually last 10 to 15 years, so many early Costa del Sol installations are now due for one.
Fault-finding first
Not every fault is the inverter. Tripped protection, a failed isolator, a damaged cable or connector, or a monitoring dongle that has lost Wi-Fi can all look like a dead system. We test the panels and wiring before recommending a new inverter.
Replacing the inverter
We match the replacement to your panels' voltages and the electrical supply, and use the opportunity to improve things where it makes sense: a hybrid inverter so you can add a battery, or microinverters on a shaded or multi-direction roof. Your registration is updated where the change requires it.

Can you fix a system another company installed?
Yes. Much of our inverter work is on systems fitted by other installers, some of which no longer trade.
How long does an inverter last?
Typically 10 to 15 years. Panels last much longer, so most systems need at least one inverter replacement in their life.
Should I replace the inverter with a hybrid?
If you might want a battery in the next few years, a hybrid inverter usually makes adding one simpler and cheaper.
