How much maintenance do panels need?
Very little. Watch the monitoring, rinse the panels when dust builds up, and have the electrical side checked periodically. Most problems show up in the app first.
Monitoring
Check the app now and then. A sudden drop on a sunny day points to a fault.
Cleaning
Saharan dust (calima) and salt can build up. Rain clears most of it; after a dusty spell, a rinse with clean water at a safe time helps. Do not use abrasives or walk on panels.
Inverter
Keep the inverter's vents clear. Inverters usually last 10 to 15 years. See inverter replacement.
Periodic electrical check
A periodic check of connections, protection and fixings is sensible.
